Fraternus is a brotherhood of men who are committed and intentional about building genuine friendships with one another and living their faith together. They encourage each other to pursue authentic manliness by strengthening virtues that are rooted in Christ, through prayer, asceticism, and by reflecting on the Word of God.

Coffee Connect after the First Friday Mass

The men of Fraternus regularly meet every...

• First Friday of the month (8 AM) for Mass at St. James Church to honour the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This is usually followed by a Coffee-Connect at a nearby coffee shop.

• First Monday of the month (7 PM) to read and pray Scripture, following the format of Lectio Divina.

• Third Monday of the month (7 PM) to listen to an enriching talk, followed by 30 minutes of Eucharistic Adoration, and fellowship/socials afterwards.

  
  

Exodus90. Break free from your Pharaohs.

During the ninety days that precede Easter, this band of brothers have also been engaging in Exodus 90 -- a spiritual exercise for men based on Christ's roadmap to freedom: prayer, asceticism, and fraternity. It is rooted in the traditions of the early Church. Through contemplative prayer, men open up to a vulnerable relationship with God. Through asceticism, men grow in the power to say “no” to the common things of the world that hold them back. Through fraternity, men have the essential support, encouragement, and mercy of other men striving after the same uncommon ideals.
